About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; CPI, PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: 3x12 hour shifts, nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks. Holidays as needed. No call required. Minimum 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department is required. First-time travelers are welcome. ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required. CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications are preferred. Previous Charge Nurse and Level 2 Trauma experience is preferred. Staffing ratios are generally 4-5 patients. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Patient age groups will primarily be adults. Daily emergency visits average around 180 patients. Specialties include stroke and cardiac care, and it operates as a Level 2 Trauma Center. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, and social services among others. Travelers may be floated as needed. EKG compliance exam is mandatory for all RNs, with 2 attempts allowed. Modules will be required and will vary in hours but are completed during the orientation phase. No open background cases are permitted. Candidates must have a current driver's license for address verification. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered.
