Job Description The Electrical Journeyman performs skilled electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and repair work for construction projects and facility systems. This role is responsible for completing electrical work safely and efficiently in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable electrical codes. Responsibilities Builds raceways, pulls wire, and terminates electrical runs. Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems and equipment. Reads and interprets blueprints, electrical diagrams, and job orders to determine project scope, layout, and requirements. Gathers and prepares tools, materials, and equipment needed for scheduled assignments. Performs work in accordance with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and company safety requirements. Completes required daily paperwork and project documentation. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe worksite and performs general housekeeping upon completion of assignments. Performs other duties as required. Ideal Candidate is available for field work in Fort Myers, FL Skills & Abilities Intermediate knowledge of electrical controls and distribution wiring. Intermediate ability to read blueprints and schematics. Intermediate ability to use the various tools required for the trade. Basic writing and reading skills. Basic mathematics skills. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Local certifications and licenses as required. 4 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Amount Of Travel Required 20% - 40% Driving Requirements An appropriate and valid driver's license is required. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training. Additional Compensation All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
