Full-Time

The Greens at Hendersonville is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team! If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in keeping things running smoothly, and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll work alongside our Maintenance Director to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and team members.

Responsibilities

Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
Perform basic carpentry, painting, and general building repairs
Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
Conduct routine inspections of the building and grounds
Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility
Assist with room setups for meetings, activities, and special events
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility needs
Assist with preventative maintenance projects
Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal as needed
Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous maintenance experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
