Whether you're beginning your automotive career or looking for a pathway to become a Main Line or Certified Technician, Group 1 Automotive provides the training, mentorship, and opportunities to help you succeedResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid exchanges, filter replacements, and other scheduled maintenance procedures.Complete comprehensive multi-point vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs and help ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and performance.Conduct digital vehicle inspections, including photos and video documentation, to support transparent communication with customers.Accurately document inspection findings, maintenance recommendations, and service results using dealership technology and reporting systems.Work alongside experienced technicians to develop technical skills and gain hands-on experience with modern vehicle systems.Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area while properly caring for tools, equipment, and customer vehicles.Safely operate vehicles and equipment while adhering to manufacturer guidelines and dealership quality standards.Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe workplace.Promptly report damaged, unsafe, or malfunctioning equipment to management.Deliver exceptional service by supporting dealership goals and demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a customer-first attitude.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver license.Basic understanding of automotive systems (engine, brakes, tires, fluids)Ability to perform routine maintenance services, including:Oil and filter changesTire rotation and pressure checksFluid checks and top-offs (transmission, coolant, brake, power steering)Battery testing and replacementVisual inspections of belts, hoses, and filtersFamiliarity with basic hand and power toolsAbility to follow manufacturer and shop service proceduresIn addition to competitive compensation, we offer:Hourly Pay Range: $16.00–$17.00 per hourPay Type: Non-exempt, hourly positionCompensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualificationsOvertime: Paid in accordance with federal and state law for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.4 Day Work WeekOn-the-job trainingLatest equipment in the industryA path to become a master technicianHealth, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid Time-OffEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEmployee Vehicle Purchase ProgramEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
