Elevator Service Technician - Boca Raton

Elevator Service TechnicianDelaware Elevator of Florida has an immediate need for Service Technicians to maintain, service, and repair Elevators in surrounding areas of Southwestern Florida.Responsibilities:Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment — Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate based on mechanical & electrical principles – in private and public infrastructure environments.Must pay close attention to detail when following procedures and operating elevator equipment. Must be alert & able to notice any changes in the elevator's performance and determine cause to rectify in timely manner.On call rotation (Service Techs) scheduled after hours on regular basis, as needed.Able to work independently, to satisfy customer needs for emergencies, entrapments, or repairs.Able to satisfy fit for duty requirements to perform independently & efficiently. Apprentice will not be scheduled alone for the on-call rotation (until satisfy educational and demonstrated skill requirements).Travel: Able to travel as needed (some overnight stay on occasion).Repair teams may handle more weight and lifting requirements based on individual projects.Qualifications:We require a minimum of 5 years' experience working independently as an Elevator Mechanic / Technician and hold valid elevator mechanic credentials – will consider state elevator license with additional years of experience.Strong mechanical aptitude and elevator troubleshooting skills with ability to handle physical workload required in fit-for-duty assessment.In return, you will receive compensation based on experience & skills with company vehicle & fuel card.
