Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 36 months of current Emergency Department experience required Experience in caring for pediatrics and adults is required Experience with behavioral health patients is highly preferred Experience with sedation and vasoactive drips is required Experience reading, measuring, and interpreting tele strips is required Active TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification is required License: Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Must-Have: 36 months of emergency medicine experience required First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 36 months experience in the Emergency Department Level II trauma experience is required EPIC EMR experience is highly preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. The role involves providing care to patients across various age groups, including pediatrics and adults. Candidates must have significant experience working in an Emergency Department setting. Experience in behavioral health and with intravenous drips is preferred. It is essential to have the ability to read and interpret tele strips. Candidates are required to have active certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. This position requires the ability to work nights and every fourth weekend. Travelers may be required to float across multiple locations. Overall candidates should demonstrate strong clinical skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
