Compensation

$150,000 - $190,000+ (Based on Experience)

About the Position

Join a growing heavy civil contractor with a strong backlog of infrastructure work throughout the region.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced estimator who wants to take the lead on major pursuits while working closely with executive leadership, operations, and project teams on complex infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Lead estimates from early budgeting through final bid submission

• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and geotechnical reports

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis

• Build labor, equipment, material, and production cost estimates

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals

• Identify project risks, assumptions, and opportunities

• Assist with value engineering and alternative construction methods

• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client discussions

• Develop bid packages and management presentations

• Work collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management teams

• Support and mentor junior estimating personnel

Required Experience

• Experience estimating heavy civil construction projects

• Proven success estimating projects valued at $10M+

• Strong knowledge of:

• Earthwork & Excavation
• Bridge & Structural Construction
• Concrete Operations
• Underground Utilities
• Highway & Transportation Work
• Industrial Construction

• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Software Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

• HCSS HeavyBid

• B2W Estimate

• InEight

• AGTEK

• Bluebeam Revu

• Microsoft Excel

Preferred Background

• DOT transportation projects

• Design-Build delivery methods

• USACE and Federal contracts

• Industrial facility construction

• Water and wastewater infrastructure projects

• Bridge and structural construction experience
