Store Manager

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of more than two full‑time employees, including Assistant Manager(s), Lead Representative(s), and Customer Service Representative(s). Recruit, hire, train, and mentor staff to ensure excellent customer service and compliance with company standards. Develop, manage, and assign tasks to maintain a clean, well‑stocked, and organized store. Maintain a professional image among subordinates and supervisors. Schedule employees in accordance with company guidelines and business needs. Implement non‑discriminatory management practices while hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees. Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and the community. Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure regular and predictable on‑site attendance. Use Workday to conduct performance appraisals, including 30‑, 60‑, 90‑, 12‑month, and anniversary check‑ins. Train staff on customer service, store image, marketing execution, safety procedures, and cash handling practices. Ensure all employees complete required training in a timely manner. Develop timely communication channels and hold regular meetings with all store employees and the Market Manager. Develop and implement action plans to address store needs and achieve objectives. Organize and maintain store files, manuals, and required reports. Oversee merchandise stocking, attractive display, and accurate pricing. Ensure required employment‑related posters and signs are displayed and accessible. Analyse daily sales and expense data to maximize sales and net profits. Prepare and forecast P&L lines, understand and manage merchandise margins. Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed. Identify and report any sales, cash, inventory, or operating discrepancies to the Market Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 to 2 years of retail work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Ability to supervise and train staff on equipment, tools, and materials used by Customer Service Representative, Lead CSR, and Store Assistant positions. Computer proficiency or the ability to learn store computer systems, including report completion, inventory control, cash control, and employment forms. Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. Open availability for all shifts, weekends, and holidays. English speaking and writing ability. Ability to carry out the essential duties and physical functions described below. Physical ability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, work in extreme temperatures, lift up to 50 pounds, reach overhead, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and stand or walk for an entire shift. Food Server certificate (e.g., ServSafe) and/or Food Safety Management certification may be required. Physical Requirements Work minimum 50 hours per week. Work in cold or warm temperature extremes, including walk‑in cooler and freezer, and outdoors. Occasional lift of 30 pounds from ground to overhead and 50 pounds from ground to waist. Operate hand trucks with up to 20 pounds of force. Reach overhead, bend and twist at waist, stoop, kneel, squat, push, pull, and stand or walk for an entire shift. Occasional climbing of ladders to store and retrieve materials. Work Environment Work requires 50 hours per week and may include all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Work conducted primarily indoors (≈95%) with occasional outdoor tasks such as cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, and garbage removal. Exposure to occasional noise and extreme cold temperatures.
