Marine Electricians Needed for Seattle WA Shipyard

Company - Venture Dynamics Position Overview Join us in supporting Seattle WA Vigorshipyard with your experience and expertise! This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional to engage in Marine Electrician tasks, ensuring excellence in every aspect of the job. Contract Duration: Starts July 6th and goes 6-12+ months Compensation: $30.00 - $34.00/hour, DOE with weekly pay and $178 per diem per day, where "Travelers" are accepted. Key Requirements Citizenship - Must be a U.S Citizen with proof (Original/Certified Birth Certificate or U.S Passport). Certifications - Maritime OSHA 10 certification. Experience - Previous shipyard experience required. Working Hours - 50-60 hours per week. Scheduling - Diverse shifts including 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with overtime, and weekends as requested by client. Job Description Venture Dynamics is seeking skilled Marine Electricians to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, installing, replacing, and testing electrical circuits and systems aboard vessels and in shipyard facilities. This position requires adherence to applicable standards, including IEEE45 rules for AC and DC installations, and proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical manuals. Key Responsibilities Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, cables, and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Commission and test various electrical equipment, including motors, generators, control systems, and lighting systems. Mount and install power distribution panels, pull and terminate cables, and test controllers and transformers. Maintain and troubleshoot systems such as PLCs, ship alarms, and other electrical controls. Adhere to all safety and quality standards, including attending relevant meetings. Qualifications Knowledge and experience with AC and DC circuits and IEEE45 regulations. Ability to work with voltages ranging from 24-480 volts. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Physical ability to climb ladders, work on scaffolding, and lift up to 75 pounds. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Additional Responsibilities Participate in system upgrades and routine maintenance. Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas. Perform other related tasks as assigned.
