Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 3 years in specialty, 2 years of charge experience preferred License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 1 year of EPIC experience Experience with orthopedic and bariatric patients Telemetry experience Description: This position requires floating to similar units or nearby facilities as needed. The nurse will care for patients primarily with orthopedic and bariatric diagnoses. Experience with the Pyxis medication system is necessary. Healthcare professionals must demonstrate the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage them effectively. Candidates are expected to understand isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols. Knowledge of blood product administration and peripheral line care is essential. Telemetry skills are required, including EKG testing. The patient ratio during day shifts is typically 4-5:1. Interdisciplinary support from various services is available on the unit. All staff members are required to float to other units or campuses as needed based on census concerns. Candidates must have competencies documented for any floating assignments.
