Supply Chain Manager

Everyday Technologies is a preferred contract manufacturer for metal fabrication solutions. With over 100 employees between its headquarters in Sidney, OH and its location in Wapakoneta, we are looking to expand our team by adding a Supply Chain Manager out of our Sidney, OH location.

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all purchasing activities for production. This role ensures the timely procurement of raw materials, hardware, tooling, and outside services required to support production while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and supplier reliability. They work closely with production, engineering, inventory, and accounting teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of raw materials including sheet metal (steel, stainless steel, aluminum), tubing, kitting, and fabrication consumables.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.
• Source and qualify new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and supply reliability.
• Monitor market trends and material pricing to anticipate cost fluctuations and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Oversee purchase order creation, approval, and tracking to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with production planning to align purchasing schedules with manufacturing demand and project timelines.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.
• Work with quality and engineering teams to ensure materials and components meet required specifications.
• Manage purchasing records, vendor performance metrics, and cost analysis reports.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery delays, or shortages.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, industry regulations, ISO 9001-2015 and ISO 14001-2015 standards.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or related field experience.
• 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing, preferably in sheet metal fabrication or metalworking.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of sheet metal materials, fabrication processes, and industry suppliers.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and purchasing software, preferably PLEX.
• Excellent analytical and cost-management abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and cross-department collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and inventory management practices.
