Machinist 3rd Shift

MachinistGD Energy Products is looking for a Machinist to work in Fort Worth, TX. Schedule is Friday - Sunday 6 AM - 6 PM CST. All employees on third shift will be compensated for a full 40 hours.Duties/Responsibilities:Operates fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; performs minor repairs within expertise.Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.Complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.Regular attendance and compliance with all Company policies and rules is an essential function for the job. Overtime, including potential for nights and weekend shifts may be required.Performs other related duties as assigned.Cross training other employees to run multiple workstations as needed.Strong work ethic with reliability and dependability.Required Skills/Abilities:Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining.Ability to read blueprints and plans.Excellent mechanical skills.Excellent time management skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Vocational/technical school training and apprenticeship required or minimum 1-year experience with CNC boring mill/lathe machines which includes proper set up and operation.
