The salary range for this position is $36.50 - $58.40 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement is guided by the collective bargaining agreement. The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable for patient care including diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation to ensure evidence‑based care. The RN works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, participates in decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, and supports unit operations. Responsibilities Advocate Practices in accordance with the patient‑centered care model. Develops individualized, age‑specific culturally sensitive nursing plans based on the nursing process. Incorporates the role of patient advocate into the plan of care. Uses a team approach to develop and achieve daily patient‑centered individualized goals. Acknowledges and values contributions of the patient’s significant others. Identifies potential conflict situations and facilitates resolution using established communication channels. Promotes and seeks to protect the health, safety, and rights of the patient. Maintains a safe environment for patients. Qualifications Required Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing school/college. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher. Registered Professional Nurse license in Illinois. Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification. Analytical ability (conceptual and quantitative). Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Keyboard proficiency for data entry and retrieval. Preferred Experience in a specific clinical area. Nursing specialty certification if eligible.
