Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Observation in Winston Salem, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. You will help support a welcoming, orderly environment while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public-service agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with established procedures; document observations, incidents, and daily activities in required reports.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly public-service environment by providing directions, communicating professionally, and following Allied Universal and location-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age 
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
