Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Engineer

Radiance Technologies is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) systems engineer to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Technical Center, Research and Technology Directorate, Multi-Domain Technologies Branch (MDTBr) office in Huntsville, AL. The RF systems engineer will support efforts to design and develop Army science and technology (S&T) and research and development (R&D) programs that deliver RF capabilities to the Warfighter in the field. This position requires a talented RF systems engineer that could work with a multi-disciplined team to perform RF engineering analysis to guide all phases of the design process, including requirement development, design, and test and evaluation. The engineer will be required to assist the Government with requirements definition, analysis, modeling and simulation (M&S), hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), simulations, development, integration activities, and demonstrations and tests.Responsible for the following tasksProvide high-power RF subject matter expertise including power electronics, pulsed power drivers, power modulators, frequency and bandwidth agile RF sources and antennas, electronic system coupling, interaction and effects, as well as in band and out of band coupling and interaction mechanisms.Perform analysis and M&S to establish and verify system concepts using high-power RF.Establish HWIL simulations as necessary to validate equipment functionality and system concepts.Derive and maintain system technical requirements.Participate and provide technical guidance during the system design activities.Provide oversight and/or perform complex integration activities as necessary.Assist with the development and execution of system tests and demonstrations.Exercise independent and professional judgment under moderate supervision in solving cost and scheduling problems.Required SkillsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.Proficient with distributed aperture radar systems.Proficient with radar testing equipment.U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance.Required ExperienceMinimum 5 years’ experience supporting RF-related projects.Highly proficient with high-power RF theory, system engineering, and system development.Desired ExperienceMaster’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.U.S. citizenship with an active Top-Secret/SCI clearance.EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/DisabledSummaryLocation: Huntsville, ALType: Full time
