Entry Level MicrobiologistThis position is Second Shift, Tuesday-Saturday. Completing all training in a timely and complete manner; working with an experienced analyst/mentor performing various tasks and analyses of Bio/pharmaceutical ingredients and products; reviewing or preparing standards and samples for analysis and running any equipment or instrumentation independently and/or with guidance; working efficiently; ensuring that the client receives quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateApplies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibilityDemonstrates strong client service skills, communicate effectively, both orally and in writingMeets all quality and productivity metrics and demonstrates strong teamwork and collaborationRegular attendance and punctualityPerforms laboratory operations with good dexterity, good laboratory technique, and high degree of accuracy and precisionPerform/Review preparations of reagents, samples, and standards according to procedures.Document testing, observations, deviations, and results clearly and completely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements - striving to minimize errorsRead and understand analytical procedures (compendial and client supplied) and internal SOP'sUse MS Windows applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook emailProcess data, generate reports, and evaluate dataPerform laboratory maintenance and maintain clean workspaceCommitment to occasional overtime as workload requiresMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, or related degree concentrationMUST have authorization to work in the US indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipMicroscopes and biological safety cabinetsMedia preparationPipettingOrganism/culture preparationSerial dilutionAseptic techniqueAdditional InformationWorking schedule will be Full-Time, Second Shift, Tues-Sat 3pm-11pm.
