About the Role

We are looking for a Cabinet Shop Worker to assist with the day-to-day production of cabinetry. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing things correctly, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and takes ownership of their work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the production and assembly of cabinets and cabinet components
• Read and follow shop drawings, measurements, and production instructions
• Operate basic woodworking tools and equipment safely
• Assist with cutting, sanding, drilling, assembly, and installation preparation
• Inspect materials and finished components for quality and accuracy
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials and finished cabinetry
• Assist experienced cabinetmakers with various shop tasks
• Follow established production processes and quality standards
• Complete tasks accurately and efficiently while meeting deadlines
• Communicate any material, measurement, or production issues to the appropriate team member
• Perform other shop-related duties as needed

Qualifications Required

• Reliable and dependable
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working with hand and power tools
• Able to follow instructions and measurements accurately
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials
• Willingness to learn new skills and processes
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Preferred

• Previous cabinet, woodworking, carpentry, or construction experience
• Experience reading shop drawings or 2D plans
• Familiarity with cabinet construction and hardware
• Experience using woodworking machinery
• Basic understanding of measurements and fractions
