About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Must-Have: L&D, postpartum, mother-baby, and nursery experience Description: The RN will care for patients from labor through discharge. The shift involves working 3 nights a week from 7 PM to 7 AM. The RN is expected to manage multiple labor patients simultaneously. Experience with diabetic and drug/alcohol issues in mothers is beneficial. There are no high-risk deliveries, and all patients are 36 weeks or more. Special care and high-risk infants are transported out of the unit. The RN will need to stabilize infants and provide infant care during C-sections. BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal heart monitoring certifications are required. This position may be in a very rural area.
