Instrument Fitter / Tuber

We are hiring experienced Instrument Fitters for a contract opportunity supporting production operations in the oil and gas equipment manufacturing space. Candidates must have hands-on experience with stainless steel tubing and hydraulic systems. All required experience must be clearly reflected on the resume.

Requirements:

• 2 to 3 years of oil and gas experience strongly preferred
• Previous instrumentation experience with Swagelok stainless steel tubing (1/4 inch to 1 inch)
• Hands-on experience with Hydraulic Power Units (HPU)
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics
• Proven ability to fit, cut, and bend stainless steel tubing accurately and without errors
• Experience with competitors such as Cameron or Schlumberger in HPU, surface equipment, or land equipment is a plus
• Swagelok brand tubing experience highly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute layout and installation using drawings, blueprints, and sketches
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble stainless steel tubing and piping
• Install tubing and clamps into cable tray systems
• Measure, cut, and assemble cable tray and cable tray support structures
• Drill, tap, and attach brackets and guards per assembly drawings
• Operate man lifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, band saws, hose cutting and crimping devices, and hydraulic pumping units as needed
• Inspect and maintain tools and follow all 6S guidelines
• Coordinate daily work independently with limited supervision
• Comply with all HSE policies and procedures

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights up to 65 feet
• Comfortable standing, sitting, and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
