With approximately $550 million in revenue and 1,675 employees globally, the company supports leading healthcare and medical technology customers with specialized sterile packaging for implants, catheters, and other medical devices.The company recently acquired a roughly $35 million manufacturing operation in Burlingame with approximately 96 employees. This role will help integrate and strengthen the facility’s finance function while supporting its continued growth.Position SummaryThe Finance Manager will serve as the primary finance partner for the Burlingame facility, with responsibility for financial planning and analysis, management reporting, and accounting close activities.The role is approximately 75% FP&A and strategic analysis and 25% accounting. It will initially support the Burlingame operation, with the potential to assume responsibility for an additional West Coast facility over time.This position reports to the Director of FP&A for the Americas and is part of an eight-person FP&A team. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Burlingame Site Director and leaders across operations, sales, supply chain, HR, customer service, and engineering.This is an opportunity to build and improve the finance function rather than inherit a fully established environment. The person will help strengthen planning, reporting, and accounting processes while supporting the transition from QuickBooks to Visual ERP.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning and AnalysisLead budgeting, forecasting, and longer-range planning for the Burlingame facility.Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses.Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods.Identify key business drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.Establish and monitor KPIs and other performance metrics.Provide management with actionable financial insights and recommendations.Partner with functional leaders to develop budgets and monitor performance.Support business cases, capital investments, and operational decision-making.Accounting and CloseLead monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities for the facility.Review financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reporting.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.Maintain appropriate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Support compliance with GAAP and applicable reporting requirements.Provide limited oversight of accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.Financial Reporting and SystemsDeliver timely and accurate reporting to site and corporate leadership.Prepare variance analyses and explain the key drivers of financial performance.Develop dashboards and reporting packages that improve financial visibility.Improve reporting processes, automation, and data consistency.Help transition the Burlingame operation from QuickBooks to Visual ERP.Support the company’s broader business intelligence and reporting initiatives.Business PartnershipServe as the primary finance partner to the Burlingame Site Director and functional leadership.Translate financial results into practical insights for non-finance stakeholders.Collaborate with operations, sales, supply chain, HR, customer service, engineering, and other business functions.Help establish greater financial discipline and accountability across the facility.Lead continuous improvement initiatives across FP&A, accounting, and reporting.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.Approximately seven or more years of progressive experience in FP&A, accounting, plant finance, or corporate finance.Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and accounting close processes.Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems.Ability to balance detailed accounting responsibilities with forward-looking financial analysis.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate financial information clearly to operational and executive stakeholders.Comfortable building processes and operating in an evolving environment.High degree of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.Preferred QualificationsManufacturing or plant finance experience.Medical device, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing experience.Experience transitioning or integrating an acquired business.ERP implementation or systems-conversion experience.CPA, CMA, MBA, or another relevant professional certification.Experience improving FP&A, accounting, reporting, or business intelligence processes.Key Success MeasuresSuccess in this role will be measured by:Accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting close.More effective budgeting and forecasting processes.Improved visibility into business performance and financial drivers.Stronger accounting processes and internal controls.Successful transition from QuickBooks to Visual ERP.Better management of cash flow and working capital.Actionable financial insights that support operational decisions.Continued improvement and automation of finance processes.
