Instructors will help create a warm, supportive, and inspiring environment for young musicians aged 4‑7, encouraging them to reach developmental milestones through fun musical activities and playing rock and roll musical instruments. We teach five core areas: keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums. Many of our instructors have broad musical talent and we engage students accordingly. Responsibilities Maximize the quality of music instruction, including private lessons and shows. Ensure students learn music fundamentals, not just songs. Create and document thoughtful lesson plans. Communicate regularly with parents about student progress after lessons. Interact with parents and students regularly, be visible and accessible in the school. Pitch in during canceled lessons to support overall program execution. Assist in rehearsals and basic school maintenance. Assist in recruiting and enrolling students. Skill Requirements 4+ years of experience teaching and/or performing music professionally. Passion for and/or experience working with children under the age of seven. Classroom/early childhood education experience preferred. Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design; concepts in music such as rhythm, notation, pop and rock genres. Excellent ability to deal with a wide range of customers, including children and parents. Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor. Strong organizational skills. Strong customer relations skills on the phone and in person. Resourceful and good problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work well under pressure. Proficient on at least one instrument: guitar, keyboard/piano, drums, or voice. Good judgment. Part‑time; some weekend or day availability required. Hours and Availability Our hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 3‑9 pm and Saturday 10 am‑4 pm. Up to 24 hours per week.
