Med Surg/Telemetry CNA Unit Information Join a dynamic team in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit specializing in Ortho, Urology, and Neuro care. The unit provides comprehensive care for patients recovering from surgery and those with acute medical needs. Position Overview The role of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in this unit involves providing essential support to nursing staff and delivering high-quality patient care. The position requires a commitment to excellent service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patient mobility through ambulation, turning, and repositioning.
- Assist with feeding and meal set-up.
- Monitor and record vital signs, input/output, and any changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure effective patient care and safety.
- Current Wisconsin CNA certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
- Days: 1 CNA to 8-10 patients
- Evenings: 1 CNA to 10-12 patients
- Nights: 1 CNA as required
- No on-call requirements.
- Floating to other adult inpatient units may be required as needed.
