HR Generalist

Job Description Position Title: HR Generalist Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract HR Generalist opportunity. Job Description We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our contract and temporary employees throughout their employment lifecycle—from onboarding through offboarding. This role serves as a key HR resource for employees working at client locations and partners closely with Recruiters, Account Managers, clients, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced staffing environment. Job Responsibilities Serve as a primary HR contact for employees on assignment, addressing questions regarding policies, payroll, benefits, PTO, and general HR matters. Support employee onboarding, orientation, assignment transitions, and offboarding. Conduct regular employee check-ins and support employee engagement and retention. Partner with Recruiters, Account Managers, and client contacts on employee performance, attendance, workplace concerns, and assignment matters. Support employee relations issues, including performance concerns and employment separations. Assist with benefits administration, PTO, leave tracking, and payroll-related questions. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS information. Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Assist with HR policies, procedures, employee communications, and other HR initiatives. Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information. Job Qualifications 2-3 years of HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, Employee Relations, or related experience. Staffing agency, recruiting, contract workforce, or field employee experience preferred. Strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Comfortable handling sensitive employee matters with professionalism and empathy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification preferred but not required. Job Details Job Type: Direct Hire Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid). Pay Rate: $32.50-$36/hour.
