Parsons is recognized for its technical depth, commitment to quality, and dedication to continuous improvement, and we are looking for professionals who share our vision.Key Responsibilities:Perform conventional and complex highway/roadway engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.Serve as a lead engineer for specific disciplines on small, intermediate and large sized projects or contribute as part of a larger project team.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and junior and mid-level Engineers working on the same project.Plan and design roadway facilities that prioritize safety, reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Develop engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, surveys, and designs.Foster cooperative and productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.Qualifications:Experience: 8-15 years of related experience in highway/roadway engineering design.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is highly preferred.Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, MicroStation, and industry-standard roadway design and analysis software.Preferred Experience: Familiarity with VDOT and DDOT standards and practices.Work Environment:This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based in our Centreville, VA, or Washington, DC office.Why Join Parsons?Work on impactful projects that shape communities and improve infrastructure.Collaborative and inclusive work environment that fosters professional growth.Access to cutting-edge tools, technologies, and training programs.Competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.Opportunity to contribute to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.Security Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
