Medical Laboratory Scientist (Hiring Immediately)

Description

Under the general direction of the Laboratory Director, the employee performs, evaluates and reports results on specimens received for analysis; solves problems, instructs new employees and students, operates instruments and performs maintenance function checks and troubleshooting. Follows the principles outlined in the Compliance/ Integrity Program Handbook and adheres to all regulatory requirements for this position.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related health sciences, or current 3+1 student enrolled in PSHMC MT Program
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Medical Technologist, or
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Association of Bioanalysts, or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists, or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
