Licensed Practical Nurse - SCI Laurel Highlands

Responsibilities Perform nursing tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with treatments, and supporting activities of daily living. Prepare and administer prescribed medications and record all related actions accurately. Provide first aid, CPR, or AED support during medical emergencies as appropriate. Maintain accurate electronic health records and prepare reports needed for care continuity. Communicate important information to nursing, custody, and administrative staff to support safe operations. Sterilize equipment and maintain proper inventory levels for treatment areas. Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment, 40‑hour work week. Work shifts cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 1st shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm; 2nd shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm; 3rd shift: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Telework: not available for this position. Starting annual salary: $67,558.00 (before taxes). Qualifications Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within one year as defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. If within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply. At the time of appointment you must provide proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license. Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
