divh2Radiology Technologist - Orthopedics/h2pProduces radiographs of various anatomical parts for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Orthopedic Physician./ppstrongEssential Job Functions/strong/pulliVerifies pertinent data about the patient and procedure./liliProvides information to the patient about the procedure./liliAnalyzes the information obtained during assessment phase and determines optimal imaging parameters per diagnosis./liliObtains optimum images during exam/procedure./liliDocuments accurate information about patient and exam./liliMaintains equipment and workstation in optimum condition./liliPerforms other duties of medical assistant and/or medical secretary on an as needed basis within physician office setting to ensure an efficient work flow for Orthopedic practice./liliMay assist in surgical scheduling as needed./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongRequired Qualifications/strong/pulliCompletion of a (JRCERT) accredited Radiologic Technology Program./liliRelated training/experience (preferably within the past five years)/li/ululliStrong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, and sound judgment./liliStrong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience./li/ulpstrongPreferred Qualifications/strong/pulliMedical Terminology/liliOne-year medical-surgical experience/li/ulpstrongLicense, Certification Clearances/strong/pulliCurrent Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)/liliCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program./liliAct 33 with renewal/liliAct 34 with renewal/liliAct 73 FBI Clearance/li/ulpstrongSupervisory Responsibilities/strong/pulliThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department./li/ulpstrongPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work/strong/pulliIncumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.)./liliTravel may be expected locally between Excela Health locations./li/ulpstrongLEAN/strong/pulliActively promotes a Lean work culture by performing team member duties to encourage consistent use of LEAN principles and processes, including continually seeking work process improvements.
