Accounting Specialist

A growing construction-related organization located in Queensbury, NY is seeking an (fully onsite) Accounts Receivable & Payroll Coordinator to support its accounting team. This role will focus primarily on accounts receivable, billing, and payroll support, while assisting with project-related documentation and compliance requirements.This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a variety of responsibilities, values teamwork, and is looking to grow within a stable and well-established organization.ResponsibilitiesManage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, collections, and reconciliationsAssist with payroll processing and related administrative tasksSupport AIA billing and project invoicing activitiesMaintain contract documentation and project recordsAssist with certified payroll reporting and compliance requirementsTrack and manage PRC numbers and related project information as neededCommunicate with internal teams, vendors, clients, and project managers regarding billing and payment mattersProvide general accounting and administrative support to the finance teamQualifications2+ years of AR, billing, payroll, or accounting experiencePayroll experience preferredKnowledge of AIA billing preferredCertified payroll and PRC experience a plusConstruction industry experience strongly preferredExperience with construction accounting software preferredExperience with Sage Intacct is a plusProficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentScheduleTypical hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PMSome flexibility is available, so please don't let the hours deter you if you're otherwise a great fitWhy Apply?Join a collaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunity to learn specialized areas such as certified payroll and construction accountingVariety of responsibilities across AR, billing, payroll, and project supportLong-term growth potential with a stable organizationInterested in learning more?We'd love to hear from you!
