Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding patient care and neurological-focused assessments

• Triage patient concerns and help guide urgent situations

• Assist with clinic procedures (wound care, suture/staple removal, dressing changes)

• Support pre- and post-operative education to empower patients and families

• Coordinate imaging, referrals, surgical prep, and follow-up care

• Maintain accurate documentation and support smooth clinic flow

Qualifications

Education:

• Associates Degree in Nursing (RN's must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire)

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program

Certifiation/Licensure

• Active RN or LPN license issued by the Iowa Board of Nursing

• CMA certification preferred

• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire

Experience:

• Clinical experience preferred; neurosurgery or neuro background is a plus but not required
