Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Nursery Opening in Connecticut - Located in Bridgeport, CT- BE/BC- Full-time; Permanent position Overview - Schedule: - Six (6) weekday shifts and two (2) weekend shifts per four (4) week cycle - There are thirteen (13) cycles per year - Each shift is twenty-four (24) hours - For weekday shifts, physician must be on-site at the hospital between 5:00PM - 10:00AM of each twenty four (24) hour shift and available via phone between 10:00AM - 5:00PM - For weekend shifts, physician must be on-site at the hospital for the entire twenty-four (24) hour shift- Hospital coverage includes rounding on newborns, attending c-sections (both scheduled and emergent), managing photo therapy, occasional pedi consults to E.D. or floors, and stabilization of newborns for transport- Faculty opportunity with Quinnipiac University teaching med students- Support from neonatologists 24/7- No circumcisions- Hospital averages over 1,000 deliveries annually Benefits - Highly competitive compensation- Robust benefits including a generous 401K match, CME and paid time off- Loan repayment support- Generous Paid-Time Off- Reimbursement for CME, professional society membership, licensure, and malpractice- Opportunity to teach and precept students About the area -Located just minutes to New York City and two hours from Boston, we are in the heart of New England's most stunning communities offering your family nationally acclaimed school systems, a choice to live at the shore, in vibrant urban areas, near a major university or in a Kiplinger "Top 10 Best City to Raise a Family" and Travel & Leisure's "Coolest Suburb in America".
