Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure/certification for school-based social work
• Previous experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in schools
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention, behavioral support, and mental health resources
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build trust with students, families, and faculty from diverse backgrounds

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs and develop intervention strategies to support academic and emotional success
• Provide individual and group counseling on social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, counselors, and special education staff, to create and implement support plans
• Facilitate referrals to community agencies and mental health resources as needed
• Participate in the development of IEPs and 504 plans for students requiring additional services
• Develop and conduct workshops for students, parents, and staff on relevant topics such as bullying, mental wellness, and social skills
• Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all privacy and reporting regulations
