CT Technologist

Overview Role: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist responsible for operating CT equipment to produce diagnostic images following physician orders and protocols. Responsibilities Operate CT equipment, select appropriate technical factors, and support invasive procedures under CT guidance. Administer contrast media, perform IV access, and apply radiation safety principles to reduce dose. Maintain a clean, safe environment, prepare patients, and communicate effectively to ensure comfort and understanding. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, training, and educational activities. Perform quality control, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure proper documentation and image processing. Adhere to regulatory standards and professional ethics, embodying a respectful, patient-centered approach. Qualifications Associate\'s degree or accredited radiologic technology certificate. ARRT registration in Radiography, Maryland/Virginia radiographer license, and BCLS/CPR certification within 90 days. Prior experience not required; cross-training or CT certification preferred. Skills Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, imaging physics, patient positioning, and excellent communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
