Job Title: Dialysis Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:00 - 18:30) Experience: Minimum 1 Year Required License: Pending License Accepted Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: COVID Vaccination Required Description: COVID vaccination is mandatory. Religious and medical exemptions are accepted with the completion of a COVID exemption form, signed by a provider for medical justification. No local applicants within a 100-mile radius are accepted. Travelers may extend their contracts, but new contracts must be at least 10 weeks long. There may be a maximum of 7 days of requested time off. Day shift ratios typically follow a 1:2 ratio. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required every other weekend. On-call duties for night and Sunday shifts are required for emergent dialysis situations. The unit includes five bays and treats up to five patients per shift. The anticipated daily treatment census is approximately 13 to 15 patients in addition to 2 to 4 bedside treatments. The unit is also responsible for managing peritoneal dialysis for hospitalized patients. Additional specialties include administration of Mannitol, albumin, and other interventions for fluid overload and renal failure. Travelers must comply with documentation requirements and undergo a drug screen prior to starting. No RQI certifications will be accepted. A six-month break is required for any travelers who have completed four consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark.
