As an entry‑level Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS), you will receive extensive safety training and develop into an exceptional safety leader. You will transform workplace safety culture, protect employees, and combine technology with human‑centered solutions to create an environment where safety and productivity thrive together. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and implement all aspects of Amazon’s Global Safety Program. Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly, and monthly audits. Facilitate incident investigation processes. Maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and OSHA regulations. Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis). Record safety incident information in internal databases promptly. Innovate on process improvements and manage actions to completion. Train and assist team members to complete safety tasks, including audits and safety rule adherence. Provide additional oversight for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, and other safety‑related activities. Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics. Additional Job Elements Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Stand or walk for up to 10–12 hours during shifts. Work in environments with variable noise, temperature, and weather conditions. Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs). Must be available to work flexible shifts including days, nights, holidays, and/or weekends. Locations and Placement This role will start between July 2026 and September 2026. This is a full‑time position located in a fulfillment center, sort center, delivery station, or other building within the Amazon Fulfillment Network. Site placement is based on aligning your location preferences with location availability after your interview. Relocation benefits are offered at time of offer to eligible candidates. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (degree must be completed before first day). Preferred Qualifications Working toward a degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Health & Safety, Safety Management, Business Administration, or related field. Interest in or prior experience in safety‑related employment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability. Salary and Benefits The base salary range for this position is $27.00 – $33.00 USD hourly. The Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
