Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Managergpac is partnered with a growing, family-owned pet food manufacturer seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department at their Central, IL facility.This position will oversee the maintenance team while driving equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, downtime reduction, CMMS management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on maintenance leader with strong mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys working closely with technicians, operations, and plant leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, schedule, and manage the maintenance teamDevelop and oversee preventive maintenance programsManage CMMS work orders, scheduling, and asset trackingTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and conveyance systemsOversee repairs and maintenance of plant equipment and facility systemsAnalyze downtime and maintenance data to identify opportunities for improvementMaintain critical spare parts and maintenance inventoryPartner with Operations to minimize equipment downtimeSupport and lead capital and plant improvement projectsManage outside vendors and contractorsEnsure maintenance activities meet safety and food safety standardsPromote a culture of accountability, reliability, safety, and continuous improvementProvide hands-on support to technicians when neededQualifications5+ years of maintenance management, maintenance supervision, or industrial manufacturing experienceStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experienceKnowledge of hydraulic and conveyance systemsExperience with preventive maintenance programsCMMS experienceProven leadership and team management skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skillsWillingness to be hands-on and work flexible hours as neededFood manufacturing or regulated manufacturing experience is preferredMechanical engineering background is a plusCompensation & Benefits$110,000–$115,000 base salary401(k) with company matchHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offCareer development opportunitiesFamily-owned company cultureIf you are an experienced maintenance leader looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a manufacturing maintenance department and directly impact plant reliability and performance, APPLY TODAY for immediate consideration.
