What You'll Do
- Evaluate patients' functioning across physical, neurological, and cognitive domains using formal and informal assessments
- Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and team members
- Implement therapeutic interventions utilizing a variety of modalities to improve patient outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers about conditions, prognosis, and therapeutic options
- Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, aides, and students as appropriate
- Recommend adaptive equipment and facilitate procurement for patient needs
- Maintain thorough documentation for billing and regulatory compliance
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and community education initiatives
- Serve as a case manager for assigned patients, ensuring continuity of care
What You Need
- Valid Michigan State Occupational Therapist License
- Minimum 1 year outpatient therapy experience
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
