About the Facility
This critical access hospital operates with 25 beds and provides 24/7 Emergency Care (Trauma Level III), along with medical-surgical services, oncology, hematology, podiatry, orthopedics, cardiology, diagnostic services, radiology, and diabetes education. The outpatient clinic functions as a dedicated family medicine practice delivering consistent, full-time primary care services to patients of all ages. Support staff on-site includes MAs, RNs, and PSRs to facilitate daily clinical operations.
About the Facility Location
The area offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and recreational activities suited to varied interests. Nearby destinations include Pleasant Mountain Ski Area, Highland Lake Beach, Wood Pond Beach, the Maine Lake Science Center, and Salmon Pointe Campground, alongside a variety of natural parks and preserves available for exploration. The region is also within approximately one hour of a major coastal destination and approximately one hour of a regional city, with Portland International Jetport accessible within approximately one hour for travel convenience.
About the Clinician's Workday
Clinicians will provide full-time, outpatient clinic-based primary care services to patients of all ages on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday on a 5x8 schedule with no weekend requirements. The expected caseload is 18-20 patients per day, with clinical responsibilities encompassing the evaluation and management of general primary care conditions. The facility utilizes EPIC as its EMR system, with training provided during onboarding. No call coverage is required for this assignment, and prescriptive authority is required.
