Medical AssistantLocation: Westborough, MA - Inpatient Treatment ProgramSchedule: Full-time. Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pmPay rate: $22.00-25.00/hourBenefits:Health, dental, vision insurances/additional voluntary insurancesCompany-paid life insurance/employee assistance programsGenerous paid time off accrualTuition reimbursement/loan repayment options401k with company match up to 7%Discounts on wide array of services/entertainment nationwideThe Medical Assistant is responsible for:Providing administrative assistance to nursing and medical staffAssisting nursing and medical staff by maintaining documentationGreeting clients in a professional, friendly mannerPerforming various administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing and/or nursing staffObtaining and records vital signs for new admissions and as needed by unit nursing and medical history for new admissionsPulling charts from all units when the physician is on-site for signatures and returning to appropriate departments when completedMaking copies of necessary medical documentation during admissions process and filing in chartsCorrespondence with pharmacy and coordinating medication transfers as neededCoordinating with outside providers for medication requests, appointment requests, obtaining PHIRecognizing and responding appropriately to urgent/emergency situations following protocolsStocking of all nursing stations including medications, medical supplies, and medical paperworkCompleting routine medical supply inventory and submitting to Director of NursingQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredGraduate from an accredited medical assisting programMedical Assistant Certification (CMA) preferredPrior experience in a behavioral healthcare setting is preferredMust have a valid driver's licenseMinimum three years computer experience and familiarity with Windows 2000, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word is required
