Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Carpenter to join our team in North Kansas City, MO. If you have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect opportunity for you! As a General Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures, ensuring that our projects are completed to the highest standards. Responsibilities- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing structures as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project goals are met.
- Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
