Leading International Women's Charity Hiring New Legal CounselA well-known, international women's non-profit dedicated to making a difference to women in the community it serves.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Legal Counsel will:Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues affecting the organization, including compliance, contracts, and governance.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.Collaborate with internal teams to address legal risks and support strategic initiatives.Manage relationships with external legal counsel as needed.Conduct legal research and provide clear, actionable guidance to stakeholders.Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the not-for-profit sector.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
