Job Description

Elevate user engagement through strategic content design, fostering inclusive and intuitive digital experiences.

As a Content Design Vice President on the Design System team, you will develop and execute content plans for inclusive, usable product experiences and play a pivotal role in shaping customer journeys through content. You’ll lead strategically important initiatives, drive innovative solutions to complex problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Through close collaboration with design, product, technology, and risk partners, you’ll create clear, engaging, user-friendly content to communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience while championing inclusive language and customer experience. You’ll help scale standards across products by translating voice, tone, accessibility, and risk requirements into structured, reusable content patterns and rules that teams can apply consistently. And as our products increasingly incorporate dynamic and AI-assisted interactions, you’ll help deliver curated content direction and context into agentic pipelines so both humans and AI systems can produce consistent, compliant outputs with less drift.

Job responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and evolve scalable content design strategies and processes that serve the business needs of the design systems and the products that use the system

• Facilitate end-to-end discovery workshops with designers, engineers, and product managers to gain a better understanding of the underlying narrative and optimal content architecture required to make the product intuitive and highly usable

• Use content models and taxonomies to design, structure, and organize digital content to effectively guide customers through the experience and simplify complex technical concepts

• Convert voice and editorial guidance into objective, repeatable rules and patterns that can be embedded into agentic workflows, templates, and content platforms

• Champion inclusive language for a diverse audience, ensuring seamless, positive interactions throughout the customer journey

• Coordinate the lifecycle of shared standards so downstream product teams can adopt changes with minimal disruption

• Enable safe scaling for decentralized teams by defining an extension approach that allows domain-specific nuance within shared guardrails

   

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in content design, editing, writing, strategy, process, architecture, and delivering scalable standards, focusing on digital products and platforms

• Expertise in written and verbal storytelling, crafting clear, engaging content that effectively clarifies complex concepts for diverse audiences, adhering to industry standards and best practices

• Proficiency in facilitating workshops for product and experience design, creating compelling content journeys, and driving alignment across partners with competing priorities to translate outcomes into durable standards

• Advanced technical literacy and deep understanding of content platforms and their impact on usability

• Experience working within design systems to develop scalable guidance for components, templates, and tooling for broad adoption

• Demonstrated use of AI to improve velocity and quality of technical documentation at a moderate or advanced level

• Ability to design and operationalize effective content architecture, organizing and structuring content for enhanced user experience and easy navigation within products or websites through reusable models, patterns, and governance

   

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Proven ability in building or governing shared content assets so they remain current, discoverable, and consistently applied

• Track record partnering with design system and engineering teams to express content guidance in structured ways that can support AI or agentic workflows

• Demonstrated success translating brand, editorial, legal, accessibility, and localization considerations into practical system-level constraints and guardrails

• Ability to develop and align product initiative messaging into broader marketing communications, ensuring consistent narratives across channels and touchpoints
