As an Part Time Sales Agent/Budtender , you’ll support our team on an as-needed basis, stepping in during peak hours, special events, call-outs, or busy weekends. You won’t just be selling cannabis—you’ll help maintain the vibe, energy, and legacy of Albany’s premier dispensary whenever you’re called to the floor. Position Summary We are seeking dependable, enthusiastic, and customer-focused individuals to join our team in an part time capacity . This is a flexible role, ideal for those who want to be part of the cannabis industry without a set weekly schedule. You will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences, offering cannabis knowledge, and supporting store operations while remaining compliant with New York State regulations. Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement & Sales Greet and welcome customers in a professional and friendly manner. Educate customers on cannabis products, strains, effects, storage, and methods of consumption. Recommend products based on customer preferences, needs, and experience levels. Assist customers with the dispensary’s eCommerce platform and process online orders. Operations & Compliance Check customer identification to verify legal age before completing transactions. Process sales using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system. Cash counting Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure compliance with all state cannabis regulations. Follow all company standard operating procedures and policies. Store Maintenance & Inventory Maintain cleanliness and organization. Assist with daily opening and closing inventory counts. Stay informed about new product offerings and attend ongoing training sessions. Work closely with team members to create a welcoming and knowledgeable environment. Participate in staff meetings, ongoing education, and dispensary events. Help train other team members on cannabis-based products and best practices. Requirements & Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset Knowledge of cannabis products, effects, and uses Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable handling cash transactions accurately and maintaining accountability Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Alleaves POS, Dispense (AIQ) eCommerce platform Knowledge of New York cannabis laws and industry trends Competitive Hourly Wage ($18/hr+ DOE) Employee Discounts on Cannabis Products Growth and Career Development in a Fast-Growing Industry If you have retail experience and a passion for customer service, we’d love to hear from you!
