Sterile Processing Technician – Certified At BayCare, we are proud to be one of the largest employers in the Tampa Bay area. Our network consists of 16 community‑based hospitals, a long‑term acute care facility, home health services, outpatient centers and thousands of physicians. With the support of more than 30,000 team members, we promote a forward‑thinking philosophy that’s built on trust, dignity, respect, responsibility and clinical excellence. Perform the decontamination, premaking, packing, sterilization and storage of all instrument sets used for patient care. Serve as an internal mentor and resource for all department staff. Responsibilities Decontaminate, prep, package and sterilize all instrumentation following established protocols. Act as preceptor, mentor and resource for department team members. Maintain knowledge of sterilization techniques, sterile field set‑up, instrumentation, equipment and compliance standards.
