Growing together.The Technical Product Manager - Cloud FinOps Analytics & Optimization is responsible for performing deep analysis of cloud and on-prem infrastructure spend, identifying optimization opportunities, validating savings recommendations, and partnering with application teams to drive adoption and realization of cost optimization initiatives.This role works closely with engineering, architecture, cloud platform, finance, and application teams to translate cloud consumption data into actionable recommendations and measurable business outcomes.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Cloud Cost Optimization AnalysisAnalyze cloud and on-prem infrastructure spend across AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB, and related platformsIdentify and validate optimization opportunities including rightsizing, storage optimization, idle resource cleanup, database optimization, autoscaling, and workload modernizationQuantify opportunity value, implementation effort, and realized savingsPerform ad hoc analysis to support optimization programs and business decisionsDevelop data-driven recommendations that improve cloud efficiency and resource utilizationOptimization Program ManagementTrack optimization pipelines from identification through implementation and realizationPartner with engineering and application teams to drive execution of approved optimization opportunitiesMonitor optimization results and identify additional opportunities for improvementSupport prioritization of optimization opportunities based on business value and implementation readinessMaintain savings forecasts and realized savings trackingCustomer Engagement & AdoptionEngage directly with application teams to review optimization recommendations and remove implementation barriersDrive adoption of cloud optimization best practices and servicesGather customer feedback and identify recurring challengesSupport optimization reviews and stakeholder discussionsExecutive Reporting & InsightsPrepare executive-ready reports, scorecards, dashboards, and optimization summariesSupport Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), CIO reviews, and leadership meetingsTrack and report on realized savings, opportunity pipeline, adoption, RI/SP utilization, and optimization effectivenessDevelop business narratives supporting optimization strategies and outcomesAI-Assisted AnalyticsUtilize AI tools and Copilots to improve analysis efficiency and opportunity discoveryDevelop repeatable analytical frameworks and reporting processesSupport use of AI-driven insights to accelerate optimization decision-makingLeverage AI-powered analytics to identify trends, anomalies, and savings opportunitiesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:4+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager driving outcomes across cloud, SaaS platforms, infrastructure, or FinOps-related products2+ years of experience with cloud cost drivers, usage optimization levers, and value realization across Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB, and data center environments2+ years of experience in data analytics related to cloud and on-prem optimization through metrics and reporting2+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker/Data Studio6+ months of experience building AI agents or leveraging AI-assisted tools for business or operational functionsExperience with SQL scriptingExperience with advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, conditional formulas, and data modelingExperience partnering with customers or application teams to drive adoption and behavior changeExperience translating complex technical and financial data into clear, actionable recommendationsExperience with backlog management, prioritization, and agile delivery methodologies*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
