Job Title: Appointment Scheduler Location: Tulsa, OK Schedule: Full-Time | MondayFriday Compensation: $16-$17/hour Appointment Scheduler Overview: A fast-paced and reputable orthopedic practice is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Appointment Scheduler to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume medical setting. Prior experience in a medical office, especially in orthopedics, is highly preferred. Epic experience a plus. Appointment Scheduler Key Responsibilities: Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments for multiple orthopedic providers Confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments as needed Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information in the EMR system Coordinate referral information and ensure appropriate documentation is in place before appointments Work closely with clinical staff to ensure appropriate time slots based on visit type, provider, and procedure Handle a high volume of scheduling requests with professionalism and accuracy Provide exceptional customer service while addressing patient questions or concerns Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Perform other front desk and clerical tasks as assigned Appointment Scheduler Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required 12 years of medical office experience preferred; orthopedic experience is a plus Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, Cerner) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Proficient with computers, multi-line phone systems, and office equipment Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling practices Why Join Our Team?
