Attorney - Insurance Defense Litigation Partner (Long Island / NYC Metro)

Full-Time | On-Site | Uniondale, NY (Long Island) | $150K – $200K Important: Who This Role Is For This role is for a seasoned insurance defense litigator ready to step into a partner‑level seat with immediate autonomy. Candidates must: Have active New York State Bar admission in good standing Have 6–10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience Be able to try cases – this firm tries cases monthly and weekly, and courtroom experience is required Be willing to work on‑site in Uniondale, NY with regular appearances in NYC metro area courts This is an especially strong fit for an independent practitioner or solo who wants the pipeline, infrastructure, and staff of an established firm without giving up autonomy. This role is not a fit for litigators who have stepped away from trial work or who require significant supervision. About The Opportunity A trial‑focused insurance defense firm headquartered in Syracuse is expanding its Long Island presence and needs a senior attorney to lead its Uniondale satellite office. You will have the caseload, carrier clients, support staff, and firm infrastructure while running the office. Two junior associates and a support staffer will report to you, and firm leadership will provide strategic support while allowing you autonomy. The firm emphasizes winning at trial, not settling by default, and maintains an active docket. If you seek a practice with frequent courtroom work, this is an excellent opportunity. What You'll Be Doing Own a full insurance defense caseload across labor law, construction litigation, premises liability, motor vehicle, property damage, and general liability matters in the NYC metro area Manage all phases of litigation independently from day one: pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials Lead the Uniondale satellite office as the senior attorney on the ground – supervise and mentor two junior associates and one support staff member Appear regularly in state and local courts throughout the NYC metropolitan area and surrounding regions on behalf of insurance carrier clients Operate with significant autonomy over day‑to‑day office management while coordinating with firm leadership in Syracuse Contribute to and strengthen a trial‑focused culture – the firm tries cases on a weekly and monthly cadence What We're Looking For 6–10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience with a proven record of trying cases Active New York State Bar admission in good standing Ability to manage a full, diverse liability docket independently from the start Experience with NY Labor Law (including 240/241), construction, premises liability, and general liability defense preferred Leadership instincts and comfort being the most senior attorney on‑site Independent practitioners or solo attorneys seeking built‑in infrastructure and a full pipeline are encouraged to apply #J-18808-Ljbffr Primeline Solutions LLC
