Severe mental illness affects over 15 million adults in the United States. Schizophrenia. Schizoaffective disorder. Bipolar I. Treatment-resistant depression. These are the conditions the rest of healthcare has systematically failed to build for. What makes this problem different from most of healthcare is that the tools to solve it do not exist. The clinical protocols, the measurement science, the precision medicine, the technology to deliver coordinated longitudinal outpatient care for this population. None of it has been built. This is a frontier problem, and it requires frontier science and care delivery to solve. We are developing all of it. The care, the science, the technology. Who We Are Amae Health is a Series B, venture-backed Public Benefit Corporation delivering specialty outpatient care for people with severe mental illness through high-acuity, in-person clinics nationwide. Our integrated model brings psychiatry, therapy, primary care, dietitians, and community support together under one roof. Leading health systems—including NewYork-Presbyterian, Cedars-Sinai, Mass General Brigham, Novant Health, and CommonSpirit—collaborate with us to expand this level of care. Alongside care delivery, we are building the science and technology the field has long lacked—proprietary clinical protocols, novel measurement, and an AI-driven data platform designed for severe mental illness. The impact: fewer hospitalizations, greater stability, and more people living meaningful lives in their communities. The Team We are clinicians, operators, technologists, and scientists who chose Amae because the problem is hard and the stakes are real. We are not interested in incremental improvements to a broken system Our teams work cross-functionally because the work demands it. The psychiatrist informs the product roadmap. Engineers understand the clinical complexity their technology must solve. Researchers sit alongside the operators running the clinics their work measures. Every function—finance, product, people, growth, technology—exists to serve one goal: better outcomes for the people we care for. The Opportunity We are expanding our Talent Acquisition team and are seeking to hire a Full Cycle Recruiter to support our growth across the nation. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will independently lead complex corporate and clinical searches from source to close, while meeting key deliverables across candidate experience, time to hire and pipeline quality. What you will work on Best-In-Class Candidate Experience: At Amae we foster an environment of excellence in recruitment processes that exceeds industry standards and strive to deliver an experience that leaves a lasting impression through clear communication, transparent expectations and respectful, timely interaction. Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with clinical and business leadership to deliver high quality hires to support our members. Develop trusting relationships with key stakeholders, and function as a talent advisor to the business. Tech-Forward Sourcing Planning & Execution: Design bold, high-impact sourcing strategies that leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., sourcing automation, intelligent matching, large language model-assisted outreach personalization) alongside deep clinical network cultivation. Build future-ready pipelines and use recruiting intelligence platforms to identify, score, and prioritize top talent before roles even open. Systems Administration: Demonstrate excellent systems knowledge, strong housekeeping skills and an aptitude for telling the recruiting story with data (pipeline analytics are your friend!). About You You are a true talent specialist, someone who gets a rush from uncovering hard-to-find candidates and nurturing relationships that turn into high-impact hires. You thrive in high-growth, high-ambiguity environments such as a Series B company, and you understand what strong talent looks like and why it matters. You excel in high-touch, high-source, low-volume recruiting, where storytelling, mission alignment, and personalization make all the difference. You bring high EQ, low ego, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves because that is how the best sourcing gets done. What you’ll have 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition with a minimum of 2+ years in a full-cycle recruiting role, within a high-source, low-volume inbound environment is required Strong attention to detail and personal organization skills, ability to appropriately prioritize Unwavering personal accountability, proven track record of following up and following through Solid critical thinking skills, with a history of approaching challenges with a “how to solve” mindset Experience working with a variety of recruiting tools and systems, preference for experience with Greenhouse Experience with SMI populations is desirable but not required This is a full time role with flexibility for remote work for the right candidate. Preference for candidates who are able to be in-office in San Francisco. What We’re Building Most healthcare companies ask you to optimize an existing system. We’re building one that has never existed. A national care model designed for the highest-acuity patients in behavioral health. Precision medicine for severe mental illness, using multimodal clinical, behavioral, and social data to personalize treatment. A clinical operating system that integrates longitudinal data, real-time patient signals, and purpose-built tools into a single decision layer. New science and measurement frameworks to define what real outcomes look like in SMI—stability, functional improvement, and hospitalizations avoided. A health-system partnership model proving coordinated SMI care can work at scale. Compensation includes a base salary of $80,000 - $130,000 (based on location, level & experience) plus equity ownership, giving you a meaningful stake in Amae's growth. Total compensation includes comprehensive medical/dental/vision, unlimited PTO, parental leave, and programs built around employee well-being. We’ll share specifics during the interview process.
