Patient Care Tech / PCT NICU

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Patient Care Tech (PCT) in Tulsa, OK. Day in the Life of a PCT Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, including assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs. Observes patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff. Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests. Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties. Measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements according to unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross trained and cross competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function). Preferred Job Requirements Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
