Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator, where you'll be responsible for operating various machines and ensuring the smooth production of high-quality steel parts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently to meet production targets on the 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Run various welding machines and perform drilling operations on the Bridgeport.
• Conduct sanding operations on steel parts to remove defects prior to painting.
• Select appropriate machines and position or load material for a job.
• Monitor machine operations, ensuring output consistency with specifications and discarding defects.
• Complete daily production duties to maintain efficiency and meet production numbers.
• Reorder parts below reorder point using the Kanban system.
• Report inventory discrepancies and maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks at the end of each shift.

Essential Skills

• 6 months of forklift experience.
• 1 year of machine operating experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production and general labor.
• Proficiency in machine operation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Zeeland, MI.

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
