Production Technician

NAVARA | Location: Portland Cement Plant CO Overview Under the direction of the Production Coordinator, the Production Technician is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the efficient operation of all production processes. Responsibilities Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment. Maintain and monitor efficient operation of all production processes. Make routine operation and preventative maintenance inspections of process equipment, report unusual conditions, and prepare work orders for maintenance when required. Operate dump trucks, skid loader, front-end loader, forklift, and other equipment. Clean the preheater tower with jack hammers and air lances. Reclaim sand, iron ore, gypsum, and clinker into the process as directed. Operate limestone reclaimers to face storage piles and position reclaimers prior to the start of reclaim operation. Lubricate, inspect, adjust or make repairs to process equipment as directed. Complete the Area Safety Inspection, Mobile Equipment Checklist, and any other documentation as required. Perform general housekeeping – keep work areas clean. Work rotating shifts. Communicate, improve, and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School diploma or GED. Required Work Experience: 1–3 years. Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required; Class B or higher CDL is a plus. Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, and SAP. Additional Requirements Climb stairs and ladders and work in both hot and cold environments. Work in awkward positions for short periods. Work in confined areas and elevated platforms (working at heights). Knowledge of the cement manufacturing process and equipment is a plus. Obtain ATF clearance for handling of explosives. Read, write, and speak English. Strong work standards and attendance record. Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
